Trademark Classification of Goods & Services

Trademark application is filed under 45 different unique classes as per the NICE classification for trademark.

The Nice Classification (NCL), established by the Nice Agreement (1957), is an international classification of goods and services applied for the registration of marks.

Each of the trademark class represents a distinct set of goods and services. While filing a trademark application, the class of goods and services to which the trademark belong must be mentioned in the TM application.

45 classes of trademark consists of – 34 classes of goods and 11 classes of services.  Classes 1 to 34 deal with the specification of goods whereas Classes 35 to 44 deal with the specification of services.
